12/16/16- Based on initial tests, the 3/4 HP motor draws 546W continuously, even under load. We were able to process 20kg of cardboard in that time. The cardboard had to manually pre-ripped and loaded by an operator. The machine would jam periodically. With a reversal switch, we could potentially reduce the time needed to unjam, and increase output. With a more powerful motor, power consumption would increase, but jams would be less common and the process could potentially be automated.
